P16PRO Hardware Kits 3096 and 3119Our P16PRO hardware kits 3096 and
3119 can be used with either the
P16PRO DOS or PICALLW Windows
software detailed below. This software is now available as FREEWARE and
no licence fee is payable when used with our P16PRO hardware. P16PRO Programming Errors?If you are experiencing programming problems or errors the MOST likely reason is that you are using the older unregistered SHAREWARE version of the software limited to programming the first 256 bytes of data. The solution is to simply download and use Version 0.16 January 2005 (or later).

P16PRO DOS Software
This low cost DOS software version is suitable for use with our kits 3096 and 3119 (P16PRO Hardware). You will only get full functionality from your P16PRO DOS software if you register it. You will then receive the full working version that has no program space limitation or nag screens. You can download the latest version from our website free of charge. P16PRO DOS will work under DOS, windows 3.1x, windows 9x and Millennium (ME). Development of DOS version is for now freezed. The DOS version does not fully support PIC16F7x PICs.
Please note that because a registration file is created specifically in your name that we cannot accept order cancellations for software registrations once received by us.
Alternative Software Options for 3096 and 3119It is also possible to use kits 3096 and 3119 with most David Tait compatible driver programs. You can try the David Tait software to drive the programmer. You will need to set the environment variable PPSETUP to "2" i.e. type at the DOS prompt the following: SET PPSETUP=2 Please refer to the text files included in the zip file for help with this software. We offer no technical support. This software will only program 16x8x devices. You can probably find other compatible software on the internet. Check out our links page to start with.
