Hackers, Virus Code, Remaillers
Hacker sites are individualistic: some are an eclectic mix of
links & information. Many are right up-to-date Java-scripted sites
& make no apology about it. Some sites are not available 24 hrs/day.
And they change addresses very fast.
Ham, amateur radio
For the interested electronics hobbyist there are many newsgroups
to suit most interests:
- sci.electronics.basics
- sci.electronics.cad
- sci.electronics.components
- sci.electronics.design
- alt.radio.pirate
- alt.security
- misc.industry.electronics.marketplace
- rec.radio.(various)
You
do not have a newsreader? For a discuss of various newsreaders
see Stroud.
One of the most popular seems to be
Free Agent
because it is not only free but can be configured to read &
reply off-line. (I use it as my news reader & can recommend
it.)
If you are into the alt.binaries then see
here
to see how to decode them. (Quick answer is that it is just
a Ctrl-B in Free Agent.)
Most of these are huge, up-to-date sites.
With search engines indexing over 100 million pages you have
to make your site 'engine friendly' if you want to want to have
them index you. Using metatags (data about data) efficiently is
part of the answer.
