ABC Atmel AVR Maxi Development Board

ABC Atmel AVR Maxi Development BoardThe ABC Maxi board has an open architecture design based on Atmel's AVR AT90S8535 RISC microcontroller and is ideal for developing new designs. ABC is an acronym for AVR Basic Controller.

The board has 4 power MOSFETs, 4 opto isolated inputs, 8 10-bit analogue inputs, prototyping area, up to 2MB add-on Flash memory and on-board RS485 transceiver make the ABC Maxi board ideally suited for prototyping networked industrial control applications.

The board employs the ATMEL AVR RISC 8535 microcontroller technology. Most instructions are single cycle giving up to 8 million instructions per second on the ABC boards.

The ABC Maxi Atmel AVR Starter Kit includes a BASIC compiler, which allows you to develop your code using the easy-to-learn BASIC programming language. You can program the AVR on-board device in-system with the ABCEdit programming software and connect to a PC's serial port (RS232), thanks to on-board RS232 level shifters and the AVR's built-in UART.

This user friendly software interfaces with ALL of the required tools on the ABC Atmel AVR Boards to enable you to get started quickly without a time consuming learning curve. You can download a trial version of ABCEdit here.
