New Hardware Version E enables programming of 16F88 devices and provides greater stability and programming performance than earlier versions.

There is an Auto Program feature for fast no-key-press bulk programming and a 6-pin header cable for ICSP (GND, VCC, CLK, DAT, LOW, VPP1). Please note that LVP programming is not supported.

The board uses a modern FT232BM IC for the USB and has on-board firmware.

3149EKT is supplied with all components (excluding ZIF Socket Order Code ZIF40W) supplied including a top quality gold plated double sided PTH PCB (102 x 78mm) and free Windows Software interface. All components are through-hole except for the FT232BM. This surface mounted IC is supplied pre-soldered to the board for you. The programmer can also be purchased in Assembled format.

Software

The price includes our own MicroPro tailor-made and fully functional 9x/NT/2000/ME/XP/Vista software interface which is available for free downloading. Software accepts HEX files and has Program, Verify, Read, Blank Check, OSCAL and Fuse functions. Software tells you where to place the PIC you are programming.

Programming Socket Options

3149EKT and AS3149E are supplied as standard with 0.3" Wide DIL IC sockets for programming but for maximum ease of use we recommend the AS3139ZIF which is supplied with a pre-soldered 40-pin Wide ZIF socket.

Additional Items Required

• Power Supply Options: 16-18Vdc (Order Code PSU010)
• USB Lead Type A to Type B (Order Code LDC644) and/or M-F Serial Port Lead (Order Code LDC441)
• 40-pin Wide ZIF socket (Order Code ZIF40W) for use with 3149EKT or AS3149E (see Programming Socket Options above for details)
• You will need a spare programmer or PIC16F628A (or 628) if you wish to update the onboard firmware when new MicroPro software updates are released (Order Code PIC16F628A)

Kit Form or Assembled?

• This item is available in Kit Form (KT ) or Assembled (AS). The FT232BM is supplied pre-soldered in all versions.
   

Product Warranty

• Only the AS3149EZIF version is eligible for our full PIC Programmer product warranty. If you purchase the AS3149E version and add your own programming socket you will only be eligible for the Kit Form product warranty. more
