3146 - 40 Second Message Recorder (ISD2540 ChipCorder IC)
This
Message Recorder module uses a high quality 40 second non-volatile ISD2540
ChipCorder audio recording IC by
Winbond
and features a useful loop option that enables continuous playback of a
message.
The IC has several modes of operation and we use it here as a sequential
multi-message recorder (like a telephone message recorder). You can record
as many messages as you want up to 40 seconds total (see Order Code
3064 for a 120 second version of this product). You
can then play them back on command and there is loop option that enables
continuous playback of a message.
Recording and playback operations are controlled using the RECORD/PLAYBACK
mode switch and the START/PAUSE and STOP/RESET buttons. A switch is used
to select Loop or Normal playback. Loop will repeat the message indefinitely
with no pause between repeats.
Unit has a built-in microphone and LEDs to indicate recording and playback.
