3128 - USB 'Flash' PIC Programmer with ICSP

Professional quality USB port 'Flash' Microchip PICmicro Programmer at an incredibly competitive price. No external power supply needed making this a truly portable programmer. Ideal for field and general use. Reliable, high speed programming and FREE Windows software interface. The board is pre-soldered.

Supplied complete with box. Only the bi-coloured LED, programming socket and ICSP header are visible. The other components are protected inside the box.

N.B. You will need a 40 pin wide slot ZIF socket to program the 0.3" wide DIL devices listed below. The AS3128ZIF version is supplied completely pre-soldered with a 40-pin wide slot ZIF Socket. If you buy the AS3128 version you need to supply and solder your own 40-pin wide slot ZIF socket.

There is an Auto Program feature for fast no-key-press bulk programming and a 5-pin header cable for ICSP (GND, VCC, CLK, DAT, VPP). Please note that LVP programming is not supported.

Software

The price includes our own MicroPro tailor-made and fully functional 9x/NT/2000/ME/XP/Vista software interface which is available for free downloading. Software accepts HEX files and has Program, Verify, Read, Blank Check, OSCAL and Fuse functions. Software tells you where to place the PIC you are programming.

Programs most Flash PIC uCs (devices with an F in the part number - it will NOT program devices with a C in the part number). Devices currently covered by this programmer are listed below. If you do not find the device you want to program here please check our other Programmers (kits 3117, 3149 and 3150). Remember, you need the optional ZIF socket to program the 0.3" wide devices listed.

Programming Socket Options

The AS3128ZIF version is supplied completely pre-soldered with a 40-pin wide slot ZIF Socket. If you buy the AS3150 version you need to supply and solder your own 40-pin wide slot ZIF socket. You will a 40 pin wide slot ZIF socket to program the 0.3" wide DIL devices listed unless you intend to use the ICSP header.

Additional Items Required

• Power Supply: None required (supplied by USB port)
• USB Lead - Type A to Type B (Order Code LDC644)
• You will need a spare programmer or PIC16F628A (or 628) if you wish to update the onboard firmware when new MicroPro software updates are released (Order Code PIC16F628A)

Product Warranty

• Only the AS3128ZIF version is eligible for our full PIC Programmer product warranty. If you purchase the AS3128 version and add your own programming socket you will only be eligible for the Kit Form product warranty. more
