3098 - Mono Audio Preamplifier Module

Preamp module designed to bring a small input signal up to a suitable level to drive an audio amplifier. Use with our 3017 to produce full power output or our 3-Input Mono Mixer kit 1052.

Delivering a minimum gain of 40dB, this is normally more than enough for most applications. Gain can be increased by simply changing a single resistor value. See kit documentation below for full details.

The circuit can also take its input from an electret microphone by simply adding a resistor, both of which are included with the kit. This set-up can be used with kit 3017 to make a listening device amplifier as featured in our plans for Super Ear Listening Devices.
