This
circuit uses a simple LDR based circuit in super-Darlington set-up to
activate the onboard relay (see
Relay
FAQ for details).
Best suited to applications where the change in light level is large and the transition quick.
The Light/Dark mode switch is used to select either light or dark activation of the relay. This enables the unit to be operated in its low-current standby mode for the majority of the time according to your application.
